Basic Bookfighting Rules for Players

  • Follow the referee instructions
  • Good sportsmanship required !
  • Choose your opponent
  • Warm up
  • Put on equipment & protective clothing
  • Choose your side on the playing field
  • Choose 2 books in the pile
  • Stand behind the starting mark, 1 book in each hand
  • Bow and fight
  • One hit = one point
  • Catch a thrown book and hit back = one point
  • Step on or over a sideline or centerline = no score
  • Open a book and read = fight break
  • Kick or destroy a book intentionally = fighter exclusion, end of the match
  • One game = 4 books down
  • Pick up books, back to the pile for next game
  • One match = 7 games
  • Winner award
  • Final bow, shake hands...

Assis au bord du lit, dans le silence de la nuit et le halo d'une faible lampe, il écrivait dans un petit carnet à spirale.
Dans la chambre d'à côté, à travers la porte ajourée, sans doute réveillée par la lumière, E. l'observait en train de mettre par écrit son terrible projet.
Au-dessus d'elle, dans le même lit superposé, L. épiait les mouvements de E. tout en contrôlant les siens ainsi que sa respiration.

Depuis le poste de garde, sur le toit du bunker de Volkspark Friedrichshain à Berlin, un soldat surveillait la scène avec une paire de jumelles. Il ferait un compte rendu détaillé un peu plus tard à ses supérieurs afin de mettre en place une opération visant à liquider les trois conspirateurs.
